Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
